Pananaw 8, titled 'Channels of Validation: The Artworld', is a special issue in line with the 10th anniversary of the Ateneo Art Awards. Edited by Corazon Alvina, Martin Genodepa, Eileen Legaspi-Ramirez, and Ramon E.S. Lerma, it 'situates art within the contextual frames of production, reception, distribution, and circulation within the Philippines.' The essays address the themes of 'Institutional Landscape,' 'Regional Situationers,' 'Focus on Art Education,' and 'On Archiving as Discourse Production.' The issue also includes a survey of exhibitions mounted in the Philippines from 2009 to 2014.
